About this course
Most teams do not have an offensive rebounding system. They have an instruction: go get the ball. Then, when the transition defence breaks down, they stop saying it.
This course replaces that instruction with a system a coach can actually install, coach, measure and adjust. It answers five questions on every missed shot: where players go, who attacks the glass, what they do while pursuing the rebound, what happens when we secure it, and what happens when the defence does.
The Three Rules
The system rests on three rules that fit on a practice card:
- Rule #1 - Two Steps to the Rim. What every player does the instant the shot goes up, and why it is the hardest habit in the system to build.
- Rule #2 - Creating Pairs. How players find their matchup and create a rebounding advantage from any offensive alignment, including when the defence switches.
- Rule #3 - Delay the Rebounder and Outlet. What happens when they get it, so attacking the glass never costs you the transition.
This is an implementation course, not a theory course
You get a 14-day installation plan with a teaching point, a drill, a metric and a correction for each day. You get a drill system built so the drills reinforce the rules instead of contradicting them. You get film-room method: how to find where a possession actually broke down rather than just watching it again. And you get a scorecard that measures execution, not luck, because a possession where everyone did their job and the ball bounced the other way is still a good possession.
Who this is not for
If you want a folder of rebounding drills, this is not it. The drills only matter here because they serve the rules. If you are not willing to correct the same mistake for three weeks running, the system will not stick, and the course says so repeatedly.
What you leave with
By the last module you will have built your own offensive rebounding playbook: your philosophy, who crashes, each player's responsibilities, your drill menu, your metrics, your installation plan and your game-day checklist. Not a copy of someone else's system - yours.
Who this is for
- Head coaches installing a rebounding system for the first time
- Assistant coaches responsible for rebounding and transition
- Coaches whose teams work hard on the glass but lose the transition battle
- Youth and development coaches teaching habits before tactics
What you need first
- No prior analytics knowledge needed
- Access to your own team practice to install the system
- Game film is helpful for the Film Room and Analytics modules, but not required to start
